Set-Up – OUTLOOK Outlook Express Mail Settings
*Very Important! For Standard hosting accounts and higher.
Before setting up your email in Outlook Express, you will
use the Online Postmaster Account to create and configure
the new email account. If you have a Budget hosting account,
use your "Siteadmin" (www.domain.com/siteadmin)
to configure your email users. Step 1. From the top menu select
"Tools" then "Accounts" (fig 01a). A new
window will pop up with some addtional options, to add a new
account press on the "Add.." button and then "Mail..."
from the submenu that will appear (fig 01b).

Step 2. Enter your name or nickname.

Step 3. Enter your email address. Example, if your domain
name is mydomain.com and your account name is mickey, you
will need to enter mickey@mydomain.com, enter it in
the box as show below (Fig.03).

Step 4. Enter mail.needa.com as
your Incoming Mail Server and your ISP's SMTP mail server
as the Outgoing. Typically your ISP's SMTP server will be
named "mail.yourISP.com" or "smtp.yourISP.com".
You should be able to find the name of their mail server on
their website or by calling them. Some examples ( email.msn.com
, smtp.earthlink.com , smtp.mindspring.com ) If you already
have an existing email account with your ISP, simply look
at the properties of that account and copy ONLY the "SMTP
Outgoing Mail Server" to your settings. Please contact

Step 5. Enter your account name and password that was created
through your postmaster account. For example, mickey is the
user name. You must add your domain name to your user name
as shown below mickey:mydomain.com.

Step 6. That's it! Test your email. If you have any problems

If you get an error message trying to send email through your
ISP. Your ISP may requires SMTP authentication. Please search
their website for information on how to configure this or
contact them directly.
